Mersey Community Hospital Medical Ward

ANMF officials along with our Workplace Representative at the Mersey Community Hospital Medical Ward, attended the Tasmanian Industrial Commission on 7 July  2020 to discuss the workloads of members on the ward. Following this, the ANMF are pleased to report that we have been successful in obtaining a commitment for additional Clinical Nurse Educator hours rostered on the weekday morning shift for 12 months, along with the appointment of an additional 0.7 FTE Clinical Facilitator allocated specifically to the Medical Ward to support out of hours operations including weekends.

The ANMF met with members on 2 July 2020, at which point the proposed benchmarking was not endorsed, regular meetings continue to be held. It is the opinion of the ANMF that until the proposed benchmarking is addressed the grievance remains live and workload and safe staffing levels remain a concern.

Updates correct as at 23 July 2020.
