Southern Cross Care (SCC)

Statewide

The ANMF note that members at Southern Cross Care Tasmania sites are still awaiting payment of their Federal Government Retention Bonus Payment. Southern Cross Care have not explained why they are out of step with other RACFs in passing on this money. We have encouraged members to use the Federal Government site to enquire as to the whereabouts of the bonus, to do so, click here.

Fairway Rise

The ANMF have sent correspondence to Southern Cross Care management to seek answers to members concerns about the new data system and the work required to transfer resident data across.

Marys Grange

The ANMF continue to await formal response to our recent letter to Southern Cross Care management. We met with members on 6 August 2020, to discuss matters of concern and note progress on the appointment of a new Level 3 registered nurse. Southern Cross Care have stated a new Facility Manager will be appointed soon.

Guilford Young Grove

The ANMF note staffing changes at Guilford Young Grove. We encourage any members with ongoing workplace concerns to contact us to discuss these. We will also be arranging a meeting with members soon to follow up and support you with forthcoming changes.

Sandown Apartments

The ANMF visited Sandown Apartments on 2 September 2020 to consult with members about proposed roster changes. Following this, if you have any concerns regarding proposed changes, we encourage you to get in touch with us. The ANMF will be writing to Southern Cross Care to raise the concerns of members.

Rosary Gardens

The ANMF held a meeting at Rosary Gardens on 24 August 2020, following an exchange of correspondence with Southern Cross Care management. Members still have several unresolved concerns that have been raised with us. As a result, we have arranged a meeting with management to address these further.
