Public Sector Updates – North West

North West Regional Hospital

Emergency Department

North West Organiser, Annette Beechey visited the North West Regional Hospital Emergency Department nurses recently to celebrate Emergency Nurses Day. She shared packets of lifesavers to acknowledge the professional care provided to the community by this incredible team. Correspondence to management regarding member concerns is being drafted, members will be kept informed of developments.

Medical Ward

The ANMF and Tasmanian Health Service Management met with members on 19 October, to discuss the progress of the Step 2 Grievance. Further meetings will be held in coming weeks, keep an eye out for the invite in your inbox.

Mersey Community Hospital

Surgery Unit and Operating Theatre

The ANMF met with members at the Mersey Community Hospital in both the Day Surgery Units and Operating Theatres to discuss any concerns related to the considerable re-development going on in these sites. On behalf of members, ANMF officials will attend the Joint Industrial Consultative Committee meeting on 9 November.

Medical Ward

The ANMF can now confirm that resourcing of the afternoon and weekend Clinical Coach has been endorsed by the Chief Executive Hospitals North/NorthWest. More details on this will be distributed via email shortly. You can read the latest newsflash here.
