The ANMF were recently contacted by members with concerns regarding reduction in night shift nurses. Subsequently the ANMF have raised these concerns with management. You can read the latest update sent to members here.

Medical Ward

ANMF officials attended a specialist panel meeting on 21 December 2020 with Tasmanian Health Service management. Options to progress a resolution to the Step 2 Grievance on North West Regional Hospital Medical Ward were discussed. Medical Ward members are encouraged to join the working group which looks at ways to resolve the grievance. If you wish to join the working group please contact our Member Support Team. Mersey Community Hospital

Emergency Department

ANMF officials recently met with members from the Mersey Community Hospital Emergency Department regarding benchmarking. Members unanimously endorsed the 2020 benchmarking, this is now due to be undertaken ASAP. You can read the latest update sent to members here.

Medical Ward – Step 3 Grievance and Change Proposal

ANMF officials held a meeting with members in late 2020 to discuss the options presented by the Tasmanian Health Service to address the workload grievance and the proposal to introduce Assistants in Nursing (AINs) on the Medical Ward. Members have subsequently been sent a survey to ensure voting represents the majority. You can read the latest update and access the survey here.
