Launceston General Hospital (LGH)

Ward 40/B

The ANMF held a meeting with members on 10 March 2021, to discuss the progress of the Step 2 Workload Grievance for 4O/B members. Please see attached newsflash for further details on the matters discussed at this meeting.

Ward 5B

On 4 February 2021, the ANMF met with Tasmanian Health Service (THS) management for the second benchmarking meeting for LGH 5B. At the meeting, the ANMF raised members’ concerns related to patient safety, skill mix, and workload, with regard to the proposed benchmarking. The ANMF has now received a written response from THS management to the concerns raised by members. We are in the process of reviewing this response and will schedule a meeting with members shortly.

Operation Room Suite (ORS)

On 10 December 2020, the ANMF met with members to discuss the results of the ORS ANMF member survey and current workload concerns. Following the meeting, the ANMF wrote to THS raising a Step 1 Grievance. ANMF has now received a response from THS management and is in the process of meeting with Workplace Representatives to discuss the response and plan for workload surveys. We will schedule a meeting with members shortly to discuss the THS response.
