Public Sector Updates – North West

Mersey Community Hospital

Medical Ward

The ANMF has been advocating for members working at the Mersey Community Hospital (MCH) Medical Ward regarding excessive workloads and challenging skill mix. The ANMF is pleased to advise that the business case for additional staff has been approved by the Tasmanian Health Service Executive. An FTE Grade 4 Clinical Facilitator for after-hours support will be implemented to assist with the workload concerns raised by ANMF members. The Tasmanian Health Service also plan to conduct an Assistant in Nursing (AIN) Trial as previously discussed with members. The ANMF will be involved in the trial to ensure that any concerns raised by members will be immediately raised. Read the full update sent to members via email here.

Updates correct as at 15 April 2021.
