Public Sector Updates – North West

North West Regional Hospital (NWRH)

Emergency Department

ANMF officials met with members on 5 August 2021. Members unanimously endorsed the benchmarking and the proposed staffing plan. To view the latest update click here.

Paediatric Unit

Meetings continue to address workload concerns and progress resolution for members from NWRH paediatric unit. ANMF member feedback will be put to management for review and discussion. Members will be kept informed of progress via meetings and emails.

Operating Theatres

The ANMF is advised that the benchmarking data and proposed staffing model should be available by close of business on 23 August 2021. A member meeting will be arranged as soon as the data has been reviewed.

Statewide Mental Health Services (SMHS) Spencer Clinic

Step 1 Grievance

The ANMF has received a response to the Step 1 Grievance at the Spencer Clinic. A member meeting has been scheduled for the 26 August 2021 at 1430hrs. Keep an eye on your inbox for further updates.

West Coast District Hospital

The ANMF met with members from the West Coast District Hospital on 3 August 2021. Formal notification of member concerns is in progress, along with a member electronic survey. Keep an eye on your inbox for further updates.

Mersey Community Hospital (MCH) JCC Theatre Redevelopment

The ANMF represented members at the Joint Consultive Committee (JCC) meetings, with initial discussion regarding baseline and proposed staffing discussed at the meeting on 9 August 2021. The ANMF will review the data, ensure that it meets Australian College of Perioperative Nurses (ACORN) standards and provide a response to the next meeting held on 13 September 2021. Members are reminded that they can be invited to join these meetings should they wish to. For an invitation, please contact Annette Beechey.
