Calvary South

Lenah Valley Hospital

CT/Neuro Ward

A workload survey has been sent to members. The survey closed on 1 October 2021. Please email our member support team at membersupport@anmftas.org.au if you did not receive a survey.

St John’s Hospital

An ANMF member meeting was held at St John’s on 15 September 2021. Members are concerned about the mandatory vaccine directive from Public Health. Please email our member support team at membersupport@anmftas.org.au if you have any queries in relation to this.

Gibson Ward

An ANMF member workload survey has been sent to members on Gibson ward. Please return the survey. Once collated results will be discussed with members. If you have not received a survey please email our member support team at membersupport@anmftas.org.au.

Healthscope

An Enterprise Agreement (EA) meeting was held on 28 September 2021. Healthscope are not considering any staffing model in the EA. They are still prepared to look at Assistants in Nursing (AIN’s) in the Schedule 2 of the proposed agreement put to ballot in July 2021. Healthscope will take members response to their latest offer that ANMF presented at the EA meeting to the board to consider their options.

Hobart Private Hospital

Maternity Ward

The ANMF met with the Maternity Ward Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) to discuss the results of the workload survey. The ANMF has written a letter to upper management to address the unsustainable workloads on the maternity ward. The ANMF is meeting with management on 14 October 2021 to discuss the issues raised.

Family Planning Tasmania (FPT)

The ANMF attended an Enterprise Agreement (EA) meeting on 21 September 2021. FPT has committed to a two year agreement with two additional nursing classifications including: Enrolled nurse level 2 and lead nurse level 4a. Agreement was reached to make the EA compliant with the Fair Work Act 2009, with respect to an additional 5 days domestic violence leave.

TasTafe

The ANMF met with teachers on 23 September 2021 and discussed some of the issues of workloads and delivery of the Diploma of Nursing. A follow up meeting will be organised for further discussion.

COVID-19 Testing Clinics

The ANMF met with members to discuss issues arising from the recent incident when the ANMF were called onsite due to unsafe workplace conditions. Members have discussed workplace issues with the ANMF which have been stated in a letter to management. A member meeting will be organised once the ANMF has received a response from management.

Hobart Day Surgery

The ANMF visited members at Hobart Day Surgery on 12 October 2021. The ANMF was pleased to meet with members and some workplace issues were discussed.

TasIVF

TasIVF will begin the bargaining process for the next EA. The first meeting will be held on 20 October 2021.
