Private Sector Updates – Statewide

Healthscope

The ANMF is continuing to visit members at the Hobart Private Hospital and St Helen’s Private Hospital to talk about the latest Enterprise Agreement (EA) updates. Please contact our Member Support team via email at membersupport@anmftas.org.au if you have any issues or questions regarding workloads or the continuing EA negotiation process.

Calvary South

The Workload Consultative Committee (WCC) meeting was held on Monday 29 November 2021. Six workload forms were submitted for discussion and the WCC terms of reference are being finalised ready for meetings in 2022. The ANMF reminds members to submit internal workload forms as issues arise and has been invited to attend the bed meetings as an observer via zoom at Lenah Valley and St John’s sites.

The ANMF is currently conducting a data collection period from Monday 29 November – Friday 10 December 2021 where we encourage all members to commit to submitting ANMF workload forms. Members are reminded to report all workload concerns during this period for us to accurately reflect the ongoing workload pressures at Calvary.

Calvary North

As they are in the South, workloads continue to be an issue for members at northern Calvary sites. Any member experiencing workload concerns should notify the ANMF through the workload reporting form.

TasIVF

The ANMF attended an EA meeting on Wednesday 1 December 2021. TasIVF are still adamant that 2% per annum is the only wage offer on the table, but they may consider a shorter agreement. Advancement to RN level 2 is still under discussion and the employer will send out a FAQ flyer regarding the pandemic leave provisions rather than include it in the EA. Member meetings are being held regularly during the negotiation period.

Child Health and Parenting Service (CHaPS)

The ANMF has visited a number of CHaPS main hubs for a quick meet and greet. More meet and greets will be organised for early in January 2022.

HealtheCare North West Private Hospital (NWPH)

Huon Ward

On Wednesday December 1, 2021, the ANMF, on behalf of members from Huon Ward, formally notified HealtheCare management of workload and patient safety concerns. Members will be kept informed of progress. Click here to read the update.

Updates correct as at 9 December 2021.
