Statewide Mental Health Services (SMHS) Spencer Clinic

Step 2 Grievance

ANMF officials and workplace representatives attended the third Workplace Grievance Panel meeting with Mental Health Services and Tasmanian Health Service (THS) management on Tuesday 14 December 2021.

The THS agreed to

  • Rostering of 134 direct care nursing hours to commence ASAP
  • A dedicated Clinical Nurse Educator for the North West Coast

North West Regional Hospital (NWRH)

Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

The ANMF received a response from Tasmanian Health Service (THS) management that addressed some of the member concerns raised in the Step 1 Grievance. The benchmarking and progression of a business case will further assist to address members workload concerns. Please click here to read more. 

Rosebery Community Health Centre (RCHC)

Change Proposal

A change proposal which relates to the short-term reduction of operating hours at RCHC and subsequent request for nurses to work shifts at West Coast District Hospital (WCDH), from Sunday 12 December 2021, until Saturday 8 January 2022 has been implemented. Please click here to read more.

North West Cancer Centre (NWCC)

Benchmarking

The ANMF met members at NWCC to discuss the 2021 Benchmarking. The proposed increase in full time equivalents (FTE) is welcome, however members articulated that the increase does not address the workload concerns. A formal notification to the Tasmanian Health Service (THS) is in process. Members will be kept informed of the process.

Mersey Community Hospital (MCH)

Theatre and Day Surgery Unit Redevelopment

The ANMF, on behalf of members, regularly attend the joint consultative committee meetings, with recent meetings focussing on staffing in accordance with the Australian College of Perioperative Nurses (ACORN) standards and preliminary discussions around proposed changes to the management structure. Oncology – Medical Day Procedure Unit

The ANMF met members to discuss the 2021 Benchmarking. The proposed increase in FTE is welcome but members remain uneasy that workload concerns will not be fully addressed. A formal notification to THS is in process. Members will be kept informed of the progress.
