Public Sector Updates – South

Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH)

Neonatal and Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (NPICU)

The ANMF has received notification that a re-benchmarking venture is to be held Thursday 13 January 2022 for the NPICU. It is anticipated that this forum will take into consideration the many and varied aspects of the ongoing Grievance procedure and will seek to remedy them in any way possible. Members will be informed of progress once this meeting has occurred.

Repatriation Centre

The ANMF has written to Tasmanian Health Service (THS) Management regarding a perceived lack of fit-testing facilities and opportunities for Repatriation Centre staff. A response has been requested which will be forwarded via an email in the New Year.

Holman Clinic (HC)

The ANMF has written on behalf of Holman Clinic (HC) members (and indeed members working throughout RHH Oncology Services) regarding the state of HC staffing and the ensuing concerns for staff and patient safety. Whilst a full response has not been requested until Thursday 30 December 2021, an interim response regarding the impending leave of the one remaining rostered staff member and what this will mean for the service was urgently requested by COB Wednesday 22 December 2021. Members will be updated on the response, via email.

Updates correct as at 23 December 2021.
