Private Sector Updates – Statewide

Healthscope Hobart Private and St Helen’s Hospitals

The ANMF is waiting for Healthscope to respond to the draft Enterprise Agreement comments that we sent to them recently. We will notify members when there is any further response.

The ANMF has asked Healthscope about the availability of masks and fit testing and has been reassured that there are appointments and several choices of masks available if you are yet to be fit tested. If you have any reason to believe this is not the case, please contact our Member Support Team at member.support@anmftas.org.au

The ANMF will be visiting the Hobart Private Hospital on Tuesday 22 February 2022, in Room 327, from 1445 -1545hrs to catch up with members and discuss any concerns.

TasIVF/Hobart Specialist Day Hospital (HSDH)

The ANMF has still not heard from TasIVF following the Christmas break regarding the continuation of Enterprise Agreement (EA) negotiations. Members are considering a 2% per annum wage increase over a shortened period of a 2-year agreement. Advancement to level 2 is still under discussion. The ANMF has written to TasIVF to ask when bargaining might continue.

The ANMF has concerns that management have said that there is no need to fit test staff working at TasIVF/HSDH. We have requested an answer to the reasons for not undertaking fit testing in Tasmania and are awaiting a reply.

North West Private Hospital (NWPH)

ANMF officials met with the North West Private Hospital on Tuesday 8 February 2022 to formally endorse the Log of Claims (LoC) for the Enterprise Bargaining Agreement (EBA) Meeting. The first EBA meeting was held via Zoom on Tuesday 15 February 2022 where the LoC was presented. Further meetings will be scheduled with members once a response is received.

Updates correct as at 17 February 2022.
