Public Sector Updates – North

Launceston General Hospital (LGH)

Operating Room Suite (ORS)

The ANMF has been invited to the ORS benchmarking meeting scheduled for Tuesday 29 November 2022. Following this meeting, the ANMF is looking to reschedule the missed members meeting for Thursday 1 December 2022. Further updates to follow soon.

Holman Clinic

On Tuesday 15 November 2022, the ANMF met with members at the LGH Holman Clinic to discuss the proposed benchmark, increase in Full Time Equivalent (FTE) and process for resolution of the workload grievance that is currently open before the Tasmanian Industrial Commission (TIC). Members resolved that the benchmarked FTE was endorsed subject to the floor support position being maintained, and approval of the business and recruitment to the new positions. The ANMF will update the TIC accordingly asking for the matter to be held in abeyance until the appropriate approvals proceed.

Updates correct as at 23 November 2022.
