North West Regional Hospital – Spencer Clinic Workload Grievance

The ANMF, on behalf of members, continue to meet with Statewide Mental Health Service (SMHS) management to monitor the progress and pursue outcomes for the Step 3 Workload Grievance. An extensive review by SMHS has shown that the data required for re benchmarking is unable to be sourced retrospectively. In principle, an agreement has been reached that data collection will be undertaken from January to June 2023. The current safe staffing matrix and capped patient numbers will remain whilst benchmarking occurs.

North West Hospitals Infrastructure Planning

The Tasmanian Government and Department of Health are commencing the consultation phase for the development of a 20 year North West Hospitals Master Plan. In order to represent members, the ANMF seeks your views on what infrastructure is needed at North West Regional Hospital (NWRH), Mersey Community Hospital (MCH) and at Parkside. At this stage this is not about detailed design but rather options to guide the consultation process. Please complete the survey to have your say.

North West Cancer Centre

The ANMF, on behalf of members at the North West Cancer Centre are pursuing outcomes to the workload concerns via a Step 2 Grievance Specialist Panel. A member meeting to review the grievance and discuss the next steps will be held in the coming weeks. Keep an eye out for an invite in your inbox.

Updates correct as at 23 November 2022.
