Private Sector Updates – Statewide

North

Calvary Health Care Tasmania

The ANMF was scheduled to meet with Calvary management on Thursday 24 and Tuesday 29 November 2022 respectively to discuss the current workload concerns for St Vincent’s Level 3 and Theatre. Both meetings were cancelled by Calvary. Furthermore, Calvary have not responded in writing to the concerns members have raised via the ANMFs correspondence sent in early November 2022. As a result, the ANMF has again written to Calvary seeking a written response (by close of business Wednesday 7 December 2022) and is now preparing an application for a dispute to be lodged with the Fair Work Commission. Further updates to follow.

Calvary Lenah Valley Campus and St John’s Hospital

The next Workload Consultative Committee Meeting is on Wednesday 14 December 2022 from 1230hrs -1330hrs. The meeting will be held in the Boardrooms at St John’s and Lenah Valley or online via WebEx. Members are encouraged to submit Calvary workload forms for discussion at this meeting. Members are also encouraged to attend the meeting and can ask their manager for time to attend. If you have any workload concerns, you can also contact the ANMF Member Support Team via email at membersupport@anmftas.org.au.

Healthscope Hobart Private and St Helens Hospitals

The ANMF has written to Healthscope management after they were made aware that members have been notified of the late payment of wages due to the Christmas public holidays. The ANMF has asked Healthscope to take steps to ensure members are paid on the usual pay date, which is not a public holiday, so that members are not disadvantaged. The ANMF will notify members of any development.

Updates correct as at 7 December 2022.
