Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH)

Ward 8A

The ANMF attended the Tasmanian Industrial Commission (TIC) on Wednesday 21 December 2022, to discuss the outstanding workload concerns of members working at the Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH) Ward 8A. It had been agreed at the Step 2 Specialist Panel, following the ANMF raising a workload grievance on behalf of members, to implement a 1.0 Full Time Equivalent (FTE) Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) position. The ANMF is now seeking the assistance of the independent umpire in resolving the workload concerns and is seeking that the CNC position is implemented as a matter of urgency, as previously agreed between the ANMF and Tasmanian Health Service (THS). The ANMF will circulate a newsflash communication to members at the conclusion of the conference on Wednesday 21 December 2022.

Repatriation Centre

Peacock 3

The ANMF met offsite with members from Ward Peacock 3 (P3) in the Repatriation Centre. Members expressed concern about workloads, rostering issues, staffing, and loss of leadership on the ward amongst several others matters. The ANMF has escalated the matter to a Step 1 Grievance and submitted a letter on members behalf. Keep an eye out in your inbox for updates.

Adult Community Mental Health Service (ACMHS)

Continuing Care Teams

The ANMF returned to the Tasmanian Industrial Commission (TIC) on Thursday 8 December 2022, on behalf of, and with support from the three Adult Community Mental Health Service (ACMHS) teams in Southern Tasmania.

A member meeting will be taking place with all three ACMHS Continuing Care Teams (CCTs) today via Zoom at 1330hrs. The meeting is to discuss options for how to progress this case.
