Launceston General Hospital (LGH)

Ward 3D

The ANMF is now in receipt of the Tasmanian Health Service (THS) response to the Ward 3D Step 1 Workload Grievance raised prior to Christmas. A meeting with Ward 3D members will be held on Wednesday 1 February 2023 to discuss this response. The ANMF can advise the THS have considered increasing the clinical coach Full Time Equivalent (FTE), further details will be provided at the member meeting. Emergency Department

Over the Christmas and New Year period the ANMF was contacted by members who raised concerns with regards to ongoing workloads in the Launceston General Hospital (LGH) Emergency Department (ED). The ANMF has reached out to THS management formally raising these concerns. A meeting with members will be held on Tuesday 7 February 2023 at 1330hrs, followed by a meeting with THS management on Thursday 9 February 2023. Further updates to follow. Specialist Clinics

In a follow up to the ANMF Newsflash dated Tuesday 20 December 2022, the ANMF can now confirm that THS North management have agreed to re-establishing the working group to develop a nursing workload model for the specialist clinics. The ANMF will pursue a date for the reconvened meeting before the end of January 2023. Click here to view the latest ANMF Newsflash.

John L Grove Rehabilitation Unit

The ANMF advises members that THS North management have requested an extension to provide the response to the Step 1 Grievance raised on behalf of members prior to Christmas.
