Launceston General Hospital (LGH)

Grievance Update

As members may be aware, there are several workload grievances outstanding for wards at the LGH Acute Medical Unit (AMU), John L Grove Rehabilitation Unit (JLGRU), Emergency Department (ED), wards 3D, 5D, 6D, 3R, 4O/4B, Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and LGH Specialist Clinics. The ANMF has been contacted by the Chief Executive of Hospitals North with a request to meet to discuss a plan for resolution of these grievances. This meeting was held on Tuesday 5 September 2023, the ANMF will provide further updates to members via a newsflash communication shortly.

Launceston Reception Prison (LRP)

On Tuesday 22 August 2023, the ANMF met with LRP members to discuss the change to imprest arrangements and workload matters. The ANMF is writing to Mental Health Services (MHS) management, detailing member concerns from the meeting, further updates to follow.
