The ANMF engaged with members and distributed the latest flyers at the North West Regional Hospital (NWRH) in support of the Retain Recruit Recognise campaign. King Island members should have received the Refer a Friend competition flyer, don’t forget the competition ends Saturday 30 September 2023, encourage your work colleagues to join the ANMF to enter the competition.

ANMF Workplace Representatives in the North West have been busy putting up the latest competition flyer Refer a Friend on ANMF noticeboards in your workplace, make sure you check it out. Don’t forget to encourage your work colleagues to join the ANMF to enter the competition before Saturday 30 September 2023. ANMF officials visited Mersey Community Hospital (MCH) to distribute the latest flyers and to engage with members.

North West Regional Hospital (NWRH)

Medical Ward, Acute Medical Unit (AMU), Med C Benchmarking – Step 2 Grievance

The ANMF along with North West Regional Hospital (NWRH) Medical Ward nurses were presented with the 2022-2023 Nursing Hours per Patient Day (NHpPD) benchmarking data on Wednesday 13 September 2023. The ANMF then met with members to discuss the response to Step 2 Grievance on Medical Ward, Med C and AMU. Members endorsed the ANMF to seek a meeting of the Step 2 Grievance Specialist Panel to clarify data and seek implementation of solutions that resolve the workload and skill mix concerns of members. Intensive Care Unit

The ANMF on behalf of NWRH Intensive Care Unit (ICU) members formally raised a Step 1 Grievance on Wednesday 13 September 2023. A response is expected by close of business Friday 22 September 2023 following which members will be consulted regarding next Steps. Keep an eye out for the invite in your inbox.

The ANMF along with ICU nurses were presented with the 2022-2023 NHpPD benchmarking data on Tuesday 19 September 2023. The data will be distributed for further discussion. In order that all members are able to vote on the endorsement process, ANMF members will receive a survey via email. Once the votes are collated the result will be sent to members via newsflash and the Tasmanian Health Service (THS) will be formally notified.
