Aged Care Updates – Statewide

Southern Cross Care Tasmania (SCCT)

The ANMF was informed by concerned members that facial recognition has been implemented in all Southern Cross Care Tas (SCCT) facilities to enhance and streamline rostering and payroll processes. It appears that SCCT has rolled this technology out rapidly with only a few days’ notice to employees. This has raised concerns about data security. The ANMF will write to SCCT seeking assurances that these risks have been evaluated and security measures have been adopted to reduce the privacy concerns from members.

Updates correct as at 1 November 2023.
