EA Updates
We are frequently updating information regarding enterprise agreements from private and aged care sites across Tasmania so our members can stay informed.
Calvary Health Care Tasmania
Calvary Health Care Tasmania (CHCT) has concluded negotiations and has put their offer out to vote. Members are reminded the Access Period: Commenced Friday 24 November 2023. The ballot to vote on the proposed offer is by electronic means, opening at 0900hrs on Saturday 2 December 2023, and closing at midnight on Thursday 7 December 2023.
Despite ongoing efforts by the ANMF in presenting alternative options for a suitable workload tool addressing your workloads and a request for an improved wage offer, CHCT has unilaterally decided to put forward this offer for your vote.
In light of these developments, we strongly encourage all members to cast a resounding “NO” vote in the upcoming ballot. Your vote is a powerful means to communicate to your employer that you deserve better conditions.
Family Planning Tasmania
The ANMF has attended the second bargaining meeting today and heard from the employer that it rejects the Log of Claims (LoC) in principle. The employer remains of the opinion that they offer above award entitlements. A full response from the employer along with a wage offer will be tabled at the next bargaining meeting which is scheduled Wednesday 6 December 2023. Once the ANMF is in receipt of the wage offer a newsflash will be circulated to all members seeking their feedback.
Australian Red Cross Lifeblood
Lifeblood have sent out the Agreement to members with the access period opening on Monday 27 November 2023 and the voting period to commence at 0900 hrs on Tuesday 5 December 2023 and close at 1800 hrs on Friday 8 December 2023.
The ANMF has scheduled a member meeting on Monday 4 December 2023 to discuss any queries from members regarding the agreement and voting process.
Hobart Day Surgery
The ANMF has contacted the employer following member queries about the negotiations. The last two meetings were cancelled, and a new date has yet to be set. The ANMF will be holding a member meeting on Thursday 7 December 2023 from 1200hrs-1300hrs where an update will be given.
Corumbene Nursing Home
Corumbene has sent the Enterprise Agreement (EA) draft to the ANMF. The ANMF will be giving members feedback to Corumbene regarding the draft and will notify members of any developments.
Calvary Aged Care
Calvary stops bargaining meetings and instead puts an offer out to vote! Access Period: 1800hrs on Wednesday 22 November 2023 to the end of the day Wednesday 29 November 2023.
Voting Period: 12.01am on Thursday 30 November 2023 to 11.59pm on Sunday 3 December 2023
Voting Method: The voting will be electronic and via a webpage.
The ANMF understands the wage offer of 3% per year is disappointing to members especially when Calvary have insisted on changing many employees’ roles within their two Aged Care Facilities.
Updates are correct as of 29 November 2023.
