Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH)

General Medicine (K10E)

The ANMF will attend an initial Step Two Grievance meeting regarding raised concerns for K10E workloads, staffing, and associated issues pertaining to staff and patient safety. Actions/outcomes from this meeting will be relayed directly to members via a member meeting which will be scheduled soon.

General Medicine and Respiratory (K10W)

On Monday 29 January 2024, the ANMF will attend a benchmarking meeting for ward K10W. Preliminary information indicates the Tasmanian Health Service (THS) desire to increase the service to a 30-bed capacity with an increase in number of Category A beds. Full details will be presented to members via a member meeting which will be scheduled soon.

Paediatrics/Adolescents (K6)

On Monday 22 January 2024, the ANMF conducted a member meeting at the RHH Paediatrics/Adolescents Unit (K6) to further discuss the THS proposed benchmarking outcomes. Several new issues/concerns were raised to which the ANMF will write to the THS seeking a response. The response will be communicated to members soon via a newsflash.
