Private Sector Updates – Statewide

North – Calvary Health Care

St Vincent’s Theatre

At members’ request, a roundtable was facilitated by the ANMF with Calvary executives. This was an opportunity for members to speak about the changes in the Operating Room (OR) and the impact this has had on members. The ANMF offered to survey our members to help understand the high number of personal leave requests. A confidential survey has been sent to ANMF Calvary members in the North. We encourage members to fill in this short survey and report the reasons (anonymously) for accessing personal leave. NO PERSONAL DETAILS will be provided to your employer, just de-identified data. The survey closes on Friday 26 July 2024.

The ANMF is working with members who have reported workload concerns, including inadequate staffing to cover shortfalls in rosters, the lack of qualified staff to safely operate the OR and Cath Lab, with some staff reporting a breach in basic entitlements at work. The ANMF encourage all members affected by these workload concerns to contact your line manager in the first instance before escalating your concerns to the ANMF. Please ensure you have filled in a workload form and or Riskman/SLRS. And email a copy of these reports to ANMF Northern Organiser Nicki Hood via email at Nicki.Hood@anmftas.org.au.

Updates are correct as of 24 July 2024.
