TasIVF/Hobart Specialist Day Hospital (HSDH)
Management has put forward a second offer. Depending on your classification, the wage increases from 1 July 2024 would range up to 7% for scientists, whereas the maximum for a nurse would be 4.5%. Enrolled nurses would receive 4% from 1 July 2024.

Meanwhile, our Protected Action Ballot had an incredibly strong response with 100% of members participating and support ranging from 100% for Question 1 to 82% for Question 3.

Tuesday 6 August 2024 saw the commencement of industrial action by way of a stop work meeting held from 0900hrs to 0910hrs. To determine next steps, we are quickly seeking your response to the new offer.

I – Med Victoria and Tasmania Nurses – Approval of Agreement
The ANMF wishes to advise members that the I-Med Victoria and Tasmania Nurses Enterprise Agreement 2023 has been approved by the Fair Work Commission (FWC).

The agreement will operate from Thursday 1 August 2024 and the nominal expiry date is Tuesday 30 June 2026. Any wage increases and new entitlements will be effective from the dates as stated in the agreement. View the agreement.

Respect Aged Care
It was very disappointing to hear that Respect has offered a greater wage increase to their Victorian based employees, more than Respect has offered to Tasmanian employees. The ANMF will ask Respect to explain why they think Tasmanian employees deserve less at the next bargaining meeting, scheduled to occur on Monday 12 August 2024.

OneCare Nurses
The ANMF is meeting with members to discuss the employer’s offer. View the latest update.

OneCare General Staff

Salvation Army Barrington Lodge
The ANMF bargaining team has engaged with management on the drafting of the Salvation Army Barrington Lodge Nurses Agreement 2023 to ensure that it gives legal effect to the commitments management has made. View the latest update.

Hobart Day Surgery – Protected Action Ballot
The ANMF Protected Action Ballot (PAB) opens at 0900hrs on Friday 9 August 2024 and will close at 1700hrs on Monday 19 August 2024. Make sure you have updated your details with the ANMF so that you are eligible to vote! The electronic ballot will be conducted by Vero Voting. All members who have advised the ANMF that they work at Hobart Day Surgery will receive information from Vero Voting explaining how to vote.

The ANMF urges all members to vote yes to all questions in the ballot. More than 50% of ANMF members at Hobart Day Surgery must vote in the ballot or it will fail. Please don’t think that your vote isn’t important because all your colleagues will be voting – take the time to vote at the first opportunity after the ballot opens.
In the PAB, you will be asked whether you endorse the taking of protected Industrial Action, with a list of potential forms of Industrial Action. Please answer ‘yes’ to all questions even if you personally would prefer to take a different form of action – by answering ‘yes’ you are not committing to take such action personally, but you are supporting your colleagues who may wish to take such action.
The ANMF met with the employer on Wednesday 7 August 2024 for a bargaining meeting and will update members in due course.

Healthe Care North West Private Hospital
The ANMF has received a response from your employer on Monday 6 August 2024. The initial offer falls far short of members’ claim for safe staffing as well as for wages. View the latest update.

Medea Park
Following successful lobbying of your employer, Medea Park has indicated they are willing to commence bargaining for a new agreement with the first scheduled meeting to occur on Tuesday 20 August 2024 at 1300hrs. The ANMF looks forward to presenting your Log of Claims (LoC), and the reasons why these claims will attract potential employees to work at Medea Park. Following this meeting the ANMF will circulate details of the meeting to all members.

Calvary Home Care
The ANMF expects wages and allowances plus any addition outstanding matters to be presented to ANMF at the next scheduled meeting Tuesday 6 August 2024. Following this meeting, the ANMF will schedule a member meeting to hear your feedback on the offer to date.

Eskleigh Foundation
The ANMF has finalised the Log of Claims (LoC) following a survey of members and we are now awaiting confirmation from your employer when they expect to schedule the first bargaining meeting. Once we have these details we will inform our members.

Emmerton Park
The ANMF has surveyed and met with members to develop and endorse the Log of Claims (LoC) for your Enterprise Agreement (EA). We will now contact your employer to arrange meetings to present the LoC.

Environmental Sustainability: The endorsed LoC for Emmerton Park contains a clause focusing on environmental sustainability for your employer’s consideration for inclusion in the EA. The clause concerns the aim of the ANMF and its members to work towards carbon neutrality at your workplace by 2030.

Amplar Virtual Health/Medibank
The ANMF has been negotiating on behalf of our members and have experienced firsthand the tactics used by your employer to discourage open and transparent negotiations. To date, Amplar is refusing to provide a clear table of wages and corresponding classifications. It also remains unclear how they remunerate different nurse classifications in the different states, even if the employees are categorised as working the same role i.e. mental health nurses. The ANMF is determined to continue to push for a transparent wage structure.

Melaleuca Home of the Aged – General Staff Agreement
The ANMF met with Melaleuca Home management to progress negotiations on your new General Staff Agreement. View the latest update.

Meercroft Care
The ANMF is meeting with members to discuss the employer’s offer. View the latest update.

Updates are correct as of 7 August 2024.
