Private Sector Updates – Statewide

Calvary Health Care

It remains clear Calvary do not have enough staff to cover base line rosters in Theatre, Cath Lab and Wards, with many members reporting a shortage in staff with specific skills. Instead of adjusting lists or rosters to accommodate the short fall Calvary appear happy to push unsafe working conditions onto nurses to deal with it.

ANMF members are encouraged to complete a Nursing Workload Form for every shift where there is a clear deficit in staffing. Forms can be emailed to ANMF Northern Organiser Nicki Hood at nicki.hood@anmftas.org.au. Alternatively, if members need advice on missed entitlements, please contact the Member Support Team on membersupport@anmftas.org.au.

Eskleigh Foundation

The ANMF has written to your employer following news they intend to change the way nursing is delivered at Eskleigh. ANMF Northern Organiser, Nicki Hood visited your workplace this week to discuss the impact this decision will have on members. If you have concerns that you would like to discuss but didn’t make it to the member meeting please email membersupport@anmftas.org.au for advice.

Updates are correct as of 16 October 2024.
