Aged Care Updates – Statewide

Statewide

May Shaw Health Services

Your employer has indicated they are preparing to negotiate for a replacement Enterprise Agreement (EA). If you are passionate about advocating for your fellow colleague’s workplace entitlements and would like to be a part of the negotiation team, please let your ANMF organiser know so an invitation to the meetings can be arranged. If you are a workplace delegate, then these meetings can be arranged during work hours.

North

Medea Park

Thank you to all members who have completed the recent survey around shift hours and rosters. Your responses are important to push your claim for a balance between work and life. When parties next meet, scheduled for Thursday 27 February 2025, the ANMF will provide reasons for the request of a 10-hour break between shifts.

Aged Care Deloraine

Following a lengthy delay your employer has resumed talks to finalise a replacement agreement. Aged Care Deloraine has reconsidered their wage offer to 3% effective First Full Pay Period (FFPP) 1 July 2025 or the Fair Work wage decision, whichever is greater. We look forward to receiving a full draft so ANMF can consider the offer; once we have reviewed the offer the ANMF will send a brief summarising the offer in full to all members .

North West

Baptcare Karingal

The ANMF met with Baptcare Executives on Wednesday 5 February 2025, and Friday 7 February 2025. Baptcare continued to push that the offer put to members was the very best Baptcare could offer to “secure a sustainable future”. The ANMF note that the offer to our members has not changed, with a marginal difference to the backpay effective date. It is clear the focus for Baptcare is the merger of 3 entities taking priority. Baptcare sought the ANMFs commitment to communicate with our members a positive support of the offer to date. The ANMF reiterated that it would be up to members to consider the offer and make their own decisions, to which ANMF would support. The ANMF has yet to receive any correspondence since the Friday 7 February 2025.

Meercroft Home for the Aged

The ANMF is waiting to hear from your employer with a draft offer, once we have this information we will circulate a newsflash to members that summarises the offer.
