May Shaw Health Centre
At the first bargaining meeting on Wednesday 2 April 2025 May Shaw has made an incredibly low wages offer for the Enterprise Agreement (EA), only committing to 1.75% in the first year.
At the meeting the ANMF bargaining team spoke to our Log of Claims (LoC) and management put forward its initial offer for a proposed 4-year agreement. View the latest update
Respect Aged Care
The ANMF wishes to advise members that the Respect Group Limited Tasmania Enterprise Agreement 2024 has been approved by the Fair Work Commission after some delay.
The delay arose after the ANMF identified a relatively minor error in the wages table affecting the wage rates for nurses from 27 January 2025. Respect ultimately agreed to correct this error, and the correction is reflected in the Commission’s decision. As a result, Respect will be providing nurses with a small amount of additional backpay.
The agreement will operate from 11 April 2025 and the nominal expiry date is 1 July 2027. Any new entitlements will now be effective. View the agreement
Anglicare
Anglicare has finally provided a draft agreement for parties to look over and provide final feedback. All parties will meet this Wednesday to discuss this feedback. The ANMF is hopeful the draft agreement will be provided to members very soon for your feedback.

Medea Park General
At the last bargaining meeting the ANMF pressed that a clinical handover is vital to provide the best care to residents, and for nurses the requirement to provide, and receive, a clinical handover is also a requirement to meet professional standards expected from nurses. The ANMF also pressed that Medea Park should have passed on the wage increase following the determination from the Fair Work Value Case (FWVC). The ANMF has requested Medea Park to review the wage offer to nurses to take this increase into account before moving to draft the new agreement. Once ANMF have received the draft we will review the offer and provide an overall summary to members prior to voting.
The nurses agreement still needs to have these details figured out before putting the agreement to vote. The ANMF will keep members informed of any discussions, meanwhile, the general staff agreement has been finalised with Medea Park offering general staff a wage increase of 3% First Pay period (FPP) 1 July 2025 and 2026. The agreement will have a 7-day access period before voting opened on Tuesday 15 April 2025. When the voting period closes on Monday 28 April 2025, the ANMF will update members on the outcome. As previously articulated to members, the Baptcare Karingal Enterprise Agreement was voted up by staff. Baptcare is now in the process of sending this agreement to the Fair Work for approval. Once this agreement is passed the ANMF will advise members accordingly.
Emmerton Park
Emmerton Park has provided their response to our Log of Claims (LoC) presented as part of the ongoing Enterprise Agreement (EA) negotiation, and we met again for a brief discussion on Tuesday 8 April 2025. View the latest update
Meercroft
The ANMF is aware of current workload concerns. Members should have received a survey link asking members to report heavy workloads, understaffing and any other matter/s that impact members from providing timely and consistent quality of care to residents, and that when you are experiencing consistently heavy workloads that impact you/your health you also report these shifts. This data is vital so we can meet with your employer to advocate for a change that will provide relief for these workload concerns. The survey will remain open until close of business Monday 28 April 2025.
Updates are correct as of 17 April 2025.
