The ANMF has formally written to the Department of Health requesting a review of the decision to deny a Market Allowance of up to 20% above the maximum salary for all nursing roles in the Emergency Departments (EDs) across the state. View the latest update.

The ANMF Attends the TIC Over Public Sector Staffing Crisis

ANMF officials attended the Tasmanian Industrial Commission (TIC) this week to address the ongoing statewide staffing crisis impacting nurses and midwives across the public sector. This follows repeated concerns raised by members about excessive vacancies, unsafe workloads, reliance on overtime and double shifts, and the increasing frequency of working short.
