The Health, Education, Research Centre (HERC) is the initiative of the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation (ANMF) Tasmanian Branch.

Our purpose-built education space provides accessible, high-quality training for health professionals, and for those wanting to start a career in the health industry. At HERC we love simulated learning which creates a fun learning and teaching environment, helping us grow the upcoming generation of Enrolled Nurses.

About the role

The Student / Educator Support Officer ensures the prompt and efficient response to enquiries, queries and problems and the provision of general administrative support to the HERC team.

You will be based in our Hobart office, working part time (3-4 days per week).

As a Student / Educator Support Officer, you will: 

  • Provide general administration support to the HERC team
  • Provide a variety of supports to students through the duration of a student’s course
  • Process and monitor HERC financial transactions, and ensure accurate files are kept
  • Create and manage education documentation
  • Monitor and manage HERC physical resources and environments, including training facilities
  • Ensure all records are managed appropriately

To be a success in this role you will bring:

  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, as well as the ability to learn and adapt to new business systems
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail
  • The ability to engage and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • An understanding of the importance of creating, maintaining, and storing clear and transparent business records
  • The ability to multitask, operate autonomously and seek direction as required
  • The ability to display a high level of confidentiality for personal information, adhering to privacy requirements and legislation
