Private Sector Updates – North

Calvary St Luke’s Theatres

The ANMF has recently been contacted by Calvary Health Care Tasmania (CHCT) management and advised that the St Luke’s Theatre complex has been closed due to structural integrity issues.

Calvary has confirmed that:

  • All nurses rostered to work in the week commencing Monday 29 September 2025 will be paid as per normal.
  • A structural integrity team will arrive on Monday afternoon, 29 September 2025, to assess the issue.
  • A decision about arrangements beyond the week of 29 September 2025 has not yet been made.

At this stage the ANMF has no further details. We will be meeting with CHCT management on Monday 29 September 2025 to seek clarification and provide members with an update.

The ANMF will also schedule a member meeting to discuss options available under the current agreement.

We understand this news may be concerning, but members can be reassured that the ANMF will ensure all entitlements and industrial protections are maintained.

We will provide a further update soon when more information is available.

Updates are correct as of 1 October 2025.
