North West Regional Hospital (NWRH) Updates

Medical Ward
ANMF members at the North West Regional Hospital (NWRH) medical ward have raised several issues relating to workloads. A Step 1 Grievance has been raised with the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM). Several solutions have been suggested including delaying student placements, additional discharge planning support, and a review of establishment. The ANMF met with members on 6 August 2019, where solutions were evaluated.

Emergency Department
The ANMF attended a meeting with members which was chaired by Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) Maxine Wooler, to provide an update on benchmarking and discuss proposed shifts for additional nursing hours. Feedback is still being sought. Members are advised to contact their ANMF Workplace Representative or North West Organiser if they have any concerns
