Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH)

General Medical Unit (K10E)

The ANMF, having conducted a member meeting on Tuesday 14 November 2023, has formally raised a Step One Workload and Staffing Grievance with Tasmanian Health Service (THS) management. A response has been requested by close of business Tuesday 12 December 2023, following which another member meeting will be convened to review the response with members, to decide upon potential further course(s) of action. Confirmation of a date and time for the meeting will be communicated to members soon.

Aged Services Team

The ANMF has again written to THS management regarding the ongoing Aged Services Team (AST) Step One Workload and Staffing Grievance. Within this correspondence was a request for ongoing monthly meetings until all matters have been resolved. Members will be advised of the next date and time for a member meeting soon.

Department of Critical Care Medicine (DCCM)

On Thursday 16 November 2023, the ANMF released a Newsflash to members outlining THS’s response to members’ Benchmarking comments and feedback. With this information to hand, it is anticipated that a secondary DCCM Benchmarking member meeting will be held in the near future, with details to be confirmed via a flyer soon. At this meeting another vote will be taken as to whether to endorse the Benchmarking predicated on THS’ responses to issues raised.
