Once a written response is received the ANMF will hold a further member meeting and update members via email. Keep an eye on your inbox for updates.

Respect Aged Care North West

The ANMF wrote to your employer regarding star ratings, care minutes and other concerns at Mt St Vincent, and Coroneagh Park. A written response has been received which is summarised below.

“The star ratings and reported minutes don’t accurately reflect the real care minutes at this time, but we acknowledge in some instances we may not meet them with a full roster we are actively working on.

At Mt St Vincent – We have consistently communicated that care minutes are under review, with an expected increase at Mt St Vincent. As an interim measure, we extended one day shift and added an additional carer on night shift. We also plan to introduce a new eight-hour care shift per day.

At Coroneagh Park – At no point did we communicate the trial increase in hours would revert to previous levels. Since the beginning of the year, we have added significant carer hours across all shifts.

Testing and tagging of electrical equipment has been outsourced to a subcontractor due to changes in our maintenance team. We will check this and make sure the testing and tagging is current.”

All 18 DECT phones are operational. We had two phones recently repaired and returned to service and audits are conducted regularly.”

Follow up meetings will be held in the coming weeks at each site. In the meantime if there are further concerns please contact ANMF North West Organiser, Annette Beechey via email at Annette.Beechey@anmftas.org.au or membersupport@anmftas.org.au

Updates are correct as of 31 October 2024.
