The next bargaining meeting is scheduled for Tuesday 28 January 2025. Results from the recent members survey will be de identified and presented to your employer as feedback to the proposed offer to date. Once the meeting has occurred and the ANMF is in possession of an offer we will inform members via a newsflash.

North West

Baptcare Karingal

The ANMF has written again to your employer representative outlining a fair wage offer that brings you into line with other providers will be favourably considered by members. It was concerning to have a reply from Baptcare RCSM asking what ANMF would “trade” to facilitate this transaction. The ANMF promptly replied that no trade off would be considered given the fact that you are chronically understaffed and that this has been endured by you for months and the fact you are the lowest paid amongst comparable facilities.

Industrial action continues with a Work to Rule and a ban on overtime and double shifts. The ANMF has also written to the ACQSC outlining the chronic understaffing of care shifts and the negative impact this has on quality care to residents. The ANMF remains hopeful your employer will return to the negotiation table to settle the matter.

Meercroft

The ANMF is waiting to hear from your employer with a draft offer, once we have this information to hand the ANMF will circulate a newsflash to members that summarises the offer.

Your employer has indicated they are preparing to negotiate for a replacement Enterprise Agreement. If you are passionate about advocating for your fellow colleague’s workplace entitlements and would like to be a part of the negotiation team, please let your ANMF Organiser know so an invitation to the meetings can be arranged. Scottsdale members can contact Organiser Nicki Hood via email at Nicki.Hood@anmftas.org.au and Swansea members can contact Avril Cooper via email at Avril.Cooper@anmftas.org.au. If you are a Workplace Delegate, then these meetings can be arranged to be in work time hours.

Uniting AgeWell Southern Site Visits

The ANMF has been visiting Uniting AgeWell southern sites for member meetings at Lillian Martin Home, Ningana Home, Queenborough Rise, Strathglen, and Strathaven. Discussions were held to provide an EA negotiation update, to seek member feedback, and to discuss any current workplace issues/concerns.

If you were unable to engage with our organiser at your site member meeting, we encourage you to advise us of what is important to you and to have your say via our open survey here. We would love to hear from you prior to the next enterprise bargaining meeting scheduled on Tuesday 11th February 2025.

If you would like to have greater involvement in the EBA negotiations, we would love to have you on our team as an ANMF delegate, please reach out to Southern Organiser Avril Cooper via email at Avril.Cooper@anmftas.org.au for more details.

Updates are correct as of 23 January 2025.
