They assess deteriorating patients, respond to emergencies, manage complex treatments, prescribe and administer medicines, deliver babies, and make critical decisions that directly affect patient outcomes. Tasmania needs action to: Address the historic undervaluation of nursing and midwifery. Protect nurses and midwives from workplace violence and aggression. Support their health, safety and wellbeing. Attract and retain experienced clinicians in Tasmania. Secure the workforce needed to deliver safe, quality healthcare into the future.
