Aged Care Royal Commission: ANMF Tasmanian Branch Submission

After consultation across the state with our members working in Aged Care, the ANMF Tasmanian Branch has compiled a submission for the Aged Care Royal Commission. Member feedback highlighted:

  • the significant challenges around delivering quality care to residents without legislated ratios;
  • difficulty with accreditation processes identifying the usual custom and practice around staffing and resourcing rather than just a point in time;
  • Federal Government funding derived through the Aged Care Funding Instrument should be tied to care.

The ANMF Tasmanian Branch would like to thank members for their input and look forward to continuing to support members in aged care across the state in calling for action on the Royal Commission Aged Care Interim recommendations. Click here to read the submission.
