Tasmanian Health Service (THS) and Statewide Mental Health Services (SMHS) North West

The ANMF wishes to thank all members across Tasmanian Health Service (THS) and Statewide Mental Health Services (SMHS) North West for their dedication and efforts during the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. Additionally, we wish to reassure everyone that every effort is being made at various levels of management and in multiple forums to advocate on members’ behalf regarding clinical/professional/industrial concerns if and when they come to light. To this end, members are encouraged to continue submitting their experiences/observations/concerns via our Member Support Team at membersupport@anmftas.org.au so that ongoing work can continue to be prioritised and tailored accurately according to areas of greatest need. North West Regional Hospital (NWRH)

Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Benchmarking

The ANMF, the Tasmanian Health Service (THS) management and ICU nurses attended a Benchmarking meeting on Tuesday 11 January 2021 where the data for a full year to June 2021 was presented along with suggested staffing profiles. Once the feedback period is complete, a survey will be circulated to ANMF members to formally endorse or reject the Benchmarking.

Surgical Ward Benchmarking

The ANMF, THS management and Surgical Ward nurses attended a meeting on Tuesday 17 January 2021 to discuss the Benchmarking. The data for a full year to June 2021 is available to be viewed. A vote will be circulated to ANMF members to formally endorse or reject the Benchmarking.
