Public Sector Updates – North West

North West Regional Hospital (NWRH)

Emergency Department (ED)

The ANMF has raised a Step 1 Grievance on behalf of our members working in the NWRH ED. The grievance relates to short staffing, increased acuity, and bed block. The ANMF has written to the Tasmanian Health Service (THS) North West management with these concerns and are now waiting for a response. Further updates to follow.

Spencer Clinic

The ANMF has been contacted by members in the Spencer Clinic regarding an acute workload matter over the last week. The ANMF has been in contact with Mental Health Services (MHS) management and solutions are being worked on. The overarching workload dispute is listed back in the Tasmanian Industrial Commission next week for a report back. Further updates to follow.

Rosebery Health Centre

On Tuesday 24 May 2022 the ANMF attended the Tasmanian Industrial Commission on behalf of members at Rosebery regarding the matter of a changed proposal for the opening hours of the service and salary maintenance as a result of the adjusted hours. As a result, the Tasmanian Health Service (THS) have been given until Tuesday 21 June to provide a change proposal and confirm salary maintenance provision for our members. A more detailed update will be provided via a newsflash update.
