Public Sector Updates – Statewide

Safe Hospitals Save Lives Campaign – Ongoing Fight for Critical Issues

The Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation Tasmanian Branch (ANMF) advises that the Safe Hospitals Save Lives campaign remains firmly in place. Following our Statewide industrial action in the lead-up to the State Budget in early September 2024, the ANMF has been actively working with the Tasmanian Health Service (THS) to secure outcomes for our members. Public Sector – N95 Mask Allowance

The ANMF has been informed by the Department of Health that the majority of back payments related to the N95 mask allowance have been processed. We value your feedback — if you find this statement inaccurate or have not received your back pay, please contact the ANMF Member Support Team, and we will follow up with the Department on your behalf. Midwifery Group Practice

The ANMF has received correspondence from the Department indicating that they are not willing to accept a new Log of Claims. We recognise how disappointing this is, particularly given the unique nature of your work and the specific entitlements that differentiate your roles from the broader workforce. In response, the ANMF has submitted the following requests to the Department, seeking good faith actions to support your work. View the latest update.

Updates are correct as of 13 November 2024.
