Linen Shortages

Following your feedback about significant and ongoing difficulties accessing essential linen items, The ANMF formally wrote to the Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH) executive team requesting an immediate uplift in linen stock across the hospital. View the latest update 

Emergency Department (ED) and Emergency Medical Unit (EMU)

The ANMF has received overwhelming responses from recent member surveys highlighting serious and ongoing concerns within the RHH Emergency Department (ED) and Emergency Medical Unit (EMU). In response, we are now formally seeking your feedback on the following key issues raised by members to determine whether you support the ANMF lodging a Step One Grievance with the Tasmanian Health Service (THS). Your voice is critical to ensure these issues are addressed with urgency. View the latest update 

Medical Imaging

Following the formal lodgement of both Step One and Step Two Grievances regarding unsafe workloads, critical staffing shortages, and unsustainable on-call demands in the Medical Imaging Department, the ANMF can confirm that members have voted unanimously to commence protected industrial action. Ward K10 East

Following a well-attended member meeting held on Wednesday 18 June 2025, the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation Tasmanian Branch (ANMF) can confirm that K10 East members have unanimously voted to lodge a Step One Grievance under Appendix C, Clause 5 – Grievance Procedure of the Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Interim Agreement 2013. This grievance has been submitted to the Acting Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) of K10 East and raises urgent and ongoing concerns regarding workload, skill mix, and support on the ward.
