Aged Care Updates – Statewide

Statewide

Respect

The ANMF recently surveyed members at Respect Aged Care following the announcement of a “Job Standardisation” roll out. The responses are alarming! 77% of respondents indicated the new master roster has impacted their role, while 79% indicated staffing levels have decreased at their workplace! The ANMF has heard you and will be meeting this week to discuss how we can address your concerns. Please keep an eye out for emails and or snap polls from us as we will need to gather more detailed data from you to hold Respect accountable to providing a safe workplace for you and your colleagues. Now is the time to ask your workmates if they are an ANMF member. If not, encourage them to join now!

Regis Aged Care

The ANMF has reached out to your employer in preparation to begin bargaining. We have a meeting scheduled for Friday 1 August at 1230hrs. We will keep you updated as negotiations proceed.

North

Medea Park Residential Care

Negotiations for the new Medea Park Nurses Enterprise Agreement (EA) are progressing, with regular meetings being held between bargaining representatives.

All parties are working constructively through the draft EA to ensure meetings are productive and that real bargaining is taking place.

Disappointingly, we have had no success convincing Medea Park that allowances should reflect current costs, and your employer remains unwilling to increase allowances from those established in 2019. View the latest update: here

Regis Norwood

The ANMF is asking members to complete a survey to capture real time data. Please keep your eyes out for a newsflash with survey link. It is vital all members complete the survey for every shift you are short staffed. If you have any questions, please email your Organiser, Nicki Hood at Nicki.Hood@anmftas.org.au or your workplace delegate Anusha Boyina

Toosey Aged and Community Care

Get ready Toosey members! The ANMF will be contacting you shortly to hear what you are wanting in your next Enterprise Agreement. If you would like to be a part of these discussions, please send a message to Organiser Nicki Hood Nicki.Hood@anmftas.org.au

Aged Care Deloraine

The ANMF had hoped this agreement would have been settled by now but we had to wait for your employer to provide a draft copy of the agreement so we could do our due diligence. The process has been frustratingly slow!  Once we have checked the draft we will be able to hold information meetings with our members.

Eskleigh Foundation

The ANMF has met again with your employer to discuss future funding for nurses at Eskleigh. It is deeply concerning Eskleigh has not been able to secure funding, nor the clients required to continue to offer full nursing care. The ANMF will continue to press to have the Enterprise Agreement finalised as quickly as possible.

North West

Wynyard Care Centre

The ANMF has met with Wynyard Care Centre (Synovum Care Group) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Natasha Chadwick and the Synovum management team with a view to commencing bargaining for your new Wynyard Care Centre – Nursing & General Staff Enterprise Agreement.

The new Agreement will determine future pay rates and conditions for Wynyard care nurses, care and general staff. View the latest update: here

Meercroft Care

The ANMF was very disappointed with the quality of payroll audit undertaken by Meercroft with less than 5% of all employees audited. The ANMF has sought a response from Meercroft before our next bargaining meeting on Tuesday 22 July 2025. Following this meeting the ANMF will circulate an update to all members.

South

Menarock, The Gardens

At an EA bargaining meeting on Thursday 10 July 2025 Menarock management revealed that, because your wages are so low, it is required to provide you with a 3.5% wage increase on Tuesday 1 July 2025 to comply with modern award minimum wages. View the latest update: here.

Queen Victoria Care

After considering the offers put forward by Queen Victoria Care management, a majority of respondents in our ANMF member survey have voted to reject the offers and continue the campaign for improvements.

  • This applies to both the vote of nurse members on the offer for the nurses’ agreement and the vote of care worker members on the offer for the general agreement.

The District Nurses

Your ANMF Workplace Delegates have written to The District Nurses management to express concern with delays in bargaining.
There has been progress on small number of issues, but significant items are yet to be discussed such as:

  • Wages offer
  • Team leader classifications
  • Recognition of Enrolled Nurses (ENs).

Christian Homes Tasmania

Enterprise Agreement Update – 3.5% Paid

Christian Homes Tasmania (CHT) management has revealed that it is paying you a 3.5% wage increase on Tuesday 1 July 2025 outside of EA bargaining.

CHT management is still indicating it is proceeding with its proposed agreement which includes a reduction in the number of nurse pay points.

There is less incentive to agree to the offer given the first wage increase provided for in the proposed agreement would now be from Wednesday 1 July 2026.
