Private Sector Updates – South

The Hobart Clinic Rally is on Thursday 2 October – Please Join Us

On Wednesday 17 September 2025, the ANMF learnt of the impending closure of The Hobart Clinic’s Rokeby Site by Friday 31 October 2025. This news is incredibly disappointing for our members and those patients who access care at The Hobart Clinic.

The ANMF will be supporting members at the rally today, Thursday 2 October 2025. Starting with a wobble board event at 11:30am on the corner of Davey and Murray Streets. This will be followed by the rally and speeches outside the Executive Building on Murray Street at 12:00pm.

We call on all members, nurses, and Tasmanians to join us and show the Tasmanian Government that action is required to protect ALL consumers of mental health services.

Everyone has a right to healthcare, and everyone has a right to be heard!

Hobart Day Surgery

The ANMF writes in response to the intended 10-Hour Shift Roster Reform to be implemented at Hobart Day Surgery (HDS).

Serious concerns have been raised about the consultation process. It would not appear to meet the fair and reasonable requirements set out in the Hobart Day Surgery Pty Ltd Nurses Enterprise Agreement, 2023.

As such, the ANMF has advocated on their behalf to management and secured a guarantee by management to pause the implementation of this roster change until a fair and reasonable consultation process can be carried out. View the latest update

Updates are correct as of 1 October 2025.
