Public Sector Updates – Statewide

Child Health and Parenting Service (CHaPS) Statewide

The ANMF is seeking feedback from members working within the CHaPS regarding the recent changes to appointment times.

The ANMF has been advised that adjustments to appointment lengths have resulted in reduced time available for clinical care and follow-up activities, including documentation. Members have also reported that these changes are contributing to increased workload pressure, heightened stress and fatigue, raising concerns for both staff wellbeing and the quality of care provided to clients and families.

Your feedback is vital to ensure the ANMF can accurately represent members’ experiences and advocate for safe, sustainable workloads and appropriate appointment structures that support both staff and service delivery.

Industrial Action by Public Sector Unions

The ANMF is aware of the industrial actions commenced by other Public Sector Unions which are expected to impact nurses and midwives in their ability to deliver clinical care. View the latest update.

Updates are correct as of 30 October 2025.
