Public Sector Updates – Statewide

Child Health and Parenting Services (CHaPS)

The ANMF is seeking feedback from members working within CHaPS about the strategies management has advised are being implemented in response to member concerns. Management has advised they will complete the full evaluation period for these changes and conduct a review at the end of the six months (March 2026). View the latest update.

HACSU Escalation on Work Bans

The ANMF acknowledges and supports our HACSU and CPSU colleagues in their ongoing industrial action to secure improved pay and conditions. ANMF members stand in solidarity with HACSU and CPSU members in their pursuit of fair and safe working conditions.

At the same time, the extended industrial action is now creating significant and foreseeable risks to workload management, service delivery and patient care. ANMF members must not compensate for, absorb, or informally resolve these impacts. The responsibility to manage the consequences of this industrial action rests entirely with management. Department of Education, Children and Young People (DECYP)

Late last week, following a meeting with Southern Health Nurses (SHNs), DECYP senior management replied to the ANMFs letter from Friday 12 December 2025, with an acceptance of each of members requests from the letter. View the latest update.

Public Sector Transfer of Care

The ANMF is continuing to take strong action on behalf of members working in Emergency Departments (EDs) at the Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH), Launceston General Hospital (LGH) and North West Regional Hospital (NWRH) regarding the Transfer of Care (ToC) proposal. View the latest update.

Updates are correct as of 15 January 2026.
