Australian Red Cross Lifeblood

Meeting 4 was held on Thursday 3 September 2026. Members should note the following key updates from the meeting:

  • Lifeblood made claims to:
  • Reduce the amount of time required between shifts without paying overtime to the worker from 10 hours to 8 hours, but only if the worker agrees.
  • Pay superannuation on jury service leave.
  • Discussing the potential removal of travel allowances for workers travelling to and from Donor Mobile Units. While they did not clearly say they want it removed, they do want it reformed.
  • At the end of the meeting, Lifeblood also proposed delaying bargaining. Your ANMF representatives pushed back because we know members want their pay, staffing and other issues addressed.
