Department of Medical Imaging

Thank you to all members who were able to attend the ANMF member meeting on Wednesday, 6 August 2025. The ANMF provided an update on the current Step 2 Grievance, confirming that the matter is now progressing to Step 3. As part of this process, witness statements will be required. These statements are a crucial way to demonstrate how the department is failing to meet its duty to provide safe, sustainable workloads. View the latest update. 

Maternity

The ANMF held a member meeting on Wednesday, 30 July 2025, to gain member feedback on the maternity benchmarking proposal presented on Tuesday, 29 July 2025. Following the meeting, midwives were provided with a survey to vote on the proposal. The majority of midwives voted not to endorse the proposal in its current form, as such, the ANMF has advised Tasmanian Health Service (THS) management of this outcome. View the latest update. 

Emergency Department (ED) and Emergency Medical Unit (EMU)

The ANMF has today lodged a Step Two Grievance on behalf of members working in the Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH) Emergency Department (ED) and Emergency Medical Unit (EMU). View the latest update. 

Ward 9A

During the walk around conducted by ANMF representatives on Thursday, 14 August 2025, members were provided with the response received from the THS regarding the Step One Grievance lodged on behalf of Ward 9A members on Tuesday, 15 July 2025. This grievance relates to the Clinical Trials Unit change proposal and the impact on Ward 9A workloads when the ward is already experiencing staffing shortages. View the latest update.

The ANMF and your K10 East ANMF representatives attended the Step Two Specialist Panel meeting on Wednesday, 13 August 2025, to raise your concerns regarding the current benchmarking proposal. View the latest update. 

Peacock 3

Hospitals South Change Proposal

The ANMF has received a Change Proposal from Hospitals South regarding changes to operational reporting lines for a number of Nursing and Clinical Director roles and the Manager Allied Health (Sub-Acute, Aged & Community Services). View the latest update.
