Private Sector Updates – North

Calvary Health Care Tasmania (CHCT)

Hospitals North

The ANMF wrote to Calvary Private Hospital general manager requesting an urgent meeting be held to discuss the decision to accommodate public patients in the Melwood unit.

Under the Calvary Health Care-Tasmanian Private Hospitals-Nurses and Midwives Enterprise Agreement 2022 the employer is obligated to notify relevant employees and their nominated representative when a definite decision has been made that introduces a major change to the organisation.

Calvary general manager has responded to our letter in which Calvary states “no formal agreement has been reached”.

Calvary further stated that they have held “a number of staff engagement activities to ensure awareness of the possibility of change.”

If ANMF members are impacted by the changes proposed, and would like to discuss your concerns further, please email ANMF Northern Organiser Nicki Hood Nicki.Hood@anmftas.org.au or alternatively, members can call the Member Support Team on 1800 001 241.
