Public Sector Updates – North

Launceston General Hospital (LGH)

Emergency Department (ED)

The Department has now provided ANMF with a draft Surge Staffing Guideline as part of discussions to resolve the ED workload dispute.

Following an initial review, the ANMF does not believe the document, in its current form, delivers the clear and enforceable staffing commitments discussed during the Tasmanian Industrial Commission (TIC) process. View the latest update

Updates are correct as of 19 June 2026.
