Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH)

Day Surgery Endoscopy

Following consultation with Endoscopy Unit members, including a petition supported by 35 members, the ANMF has written to the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) advising that members have resolved to commence taking reasonable paid comfort breaks from Thursday 1 October 2026, pending implementation of the new Nurses and Midwives Enterprise Agreement (EA). Casual Pool

The ANMF has continued to advocate on behalf of Hospitals South Casual Pool members regarding the centralisation of Casual Pool bookings through the Integrated Operations Centre (IOC) Roster Support Unit (RSU) and the introduction of the seven-day advance booking restriction. Care@Home and Ambulance Tasmania 

On Wednesday 26 August 2026, the ANMF wrote to the Department of Health (DoH) seeking additional information about the proposed relocation of Care@Home and Ambulance Tasmania Secondary Triage services. View the latest update 

Sub Acute Aged and Community Services

The ANMF has received correspondence from the Department in response to our request for further information regarding the proposed Sub Acute Aged and Community Services (SAACS) staff relocations to and within Argyle Street. View the latest update 

Whittle Ward

ANMF members at Whittle Ward met on Wednesday 26 August 2026 to discuss ongoing staffing, workload and benchmarking concerns. Members reported that despite being advised the ward is at Full-Time Equivalent (FTE), roster gaps continue to occur, with most shifts relying on casual staff, overtime and short-notice changes. Statewide Mental Health Services South

The ANMF has been advised by the Department of Health (DoH) of Stage Two of its Change Proposal, which affects members within the Statewide Mental Health Services (SMHS) Education and Practice Development Unit. View the latest update
